A modern alternative energy investment business
targeting the renewable energy sector.

The RE sector is attracting increasing investment attention globally. $145.6bn of investment was made in 2007 - equivalent to 9.4% of global energy infrastructure investment and 1% of global fixed asset investment.

The International Energy Agency ("IEA") estimates that $11.06tn of investment will be needed in infrastructure by 2030 and has revised upwards its outlook for renewables, now predicting a "massive switch to renewables for power generation".

Investment is being spurred on by politicians who are rising to the challenge of combating climate change, by setting higher renewable energy and carbon emission reduction targets and introducing more coherent and bankable subsidy regimes. There are, however, significant challenges facing investors wishing to participate in the compelling investment opportunity presented by this embryonic market. The sector's immaturity, characterised by a fragmented industry, competing technologies, evolving regulatory landscape and complex feedstock choices, necessitate the dynamic application of a sophisticated investment strategy by a proven and experienced team.
