Chief Executive Officer
- Barry Williams
Barry has over 15 years experience in the infrastructure sector, 10 years as an investor. He has invested over GBP 500mn of equity in 100+ small to medium sized assets.
Barry was the founder, chief investment officer and developed business strategy at the Secondary Market Infrastructure Fund ("SMIF"). He was also on the Board of Land Securities Trillium (which acquired SMIF in early 2007) where he was head of a 50 person investment team and led Trillium's entry into the renewable energy sector. He is a member of the Welsh Assembly Government's Strategic Capital Investment Panel with joint responsibility for renewable waste strategy.
Barry is in his late 30s and married with 3 children.
Chief Investment Officer
- Colin Hudson
Colin has close to 20 years experience in project finance with a particular focus on the energy renewable and infrastructure sectors. He joins Aleltho from Credit Suisse where he was responsible for financing environmental and energy projects in emerging markets.
Before Credit Suisse he worked as a Senior Director at a major European Bank, lead arranging projects in the renewables and infrastructure sectors. His earlier career was spent structuring project financings at Shell, PWC and Sumitomo Bank.
Chief Financial Officer
- Andrew Wood
Andrew has 17 years experience in the finance sector. He recently left Babcock and Brown where he worked for 9 years as an analyst specialising in the structuring,
financing and execution of infrastructure projects in the UK and Australia. This included market takeovers, raising funds at IPOs on the UK and Australian stock exchanges, raising debt and equity finance for individual projects, and the refinancing of existing projects. Andrew’s focus was across a wide variety of sectors: social infrastructure PPPs, power generation and distribution, ports, wind farm development, water, and transport.
Prior to Babcock and Brown, Andrew worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers structuring project financings under the UK Private Finance Initiative. Andrew is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Chief Technical Officer
- Egan Archer
Egan has more than 10 years experience as a technology advisor in the waste, biomass and renewable sectors with technologies that include gasification, pyrolysis, plasma, anaerobic digestion, cellulosicfermentation, MBT and autoclaving. He was until recently a Director with Juniper Consultancy Services and conducted technical & commercial due diligence appraisals worldwide for project developers, technology companies, funders, VCs, municipalities and various large corporate.
Egan has a PhD in Chemical Engineering and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management, associate member of the ICHEME and a member of the Energy, Environment and Sustainability Group (EESG) of the IMECHE. He has an established network of contacts worldwide through his participation as keynote speaker and chair at a range of energy and waste fora.
His professional background includes R&D work for the EU as a Research Associate at the University of Sheffield, field exploration in the gold and diamond mining sector in the Amazon rain forests and a number of years in the sugar manufacturing industry in South America.
